Park

Orsula
The Dubrovnik Summer Stage Orsula is a park with a landscaped amphitheater, located on a steep cliff 200 meters above the sea, offering a stunning panoramic view of one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Orsula Park is an extraordinary story of history, music, one individual's enthusiasm, and his perseverance in defying the system. It is a place where music takes priority—where it doesn't disturb public peace, and in return, the noise of the city doesn't disturb the performance.
The entire complex was built by hand over the past 20 years, on rocky terrain above Dubrovnik’s historic Old Town. What makes it unique is its creation method, which deviates from today’s standard approaches to construction and public space design.
The site includes the remains of the 14th-century Church of St. Orsula, next to which runs a historic caravan route—once the only land access to the city. Today, the location combines three social functions: a panoramic viewpoint, a summer stage, and an archaeological site. The park is open to the public year-round, with performances held in the evening roughly once a week during the summer season.
The amphitheater has a capacity of 500 seats, with about 20 concerts per year. The programming philosophy is rooted in fostering a true concert culture, where the line that must not be crossed is the one separating art from kitsch.
