TOY TONICS MEDITERANNA (CROATIA DEBUT)
Klabika Collective introduces TOY TONICS Mediterrana ( Croatia Debut ) to iconic Park Orsula, Dubrovnik. This summer on 29th of August, boutique experience for 800 lucky ones is on the way!
If you are not fun of big crowded events, this experience is for you. Up on the hill, 200 m above the sea, overlooking Adriatic Sea and Old Town of Dubrovnik, in the man-made stone theater, Klabika curates night for the books. Starting in the Sunset, on the dancefloor infused by the rosemary and sprinkled with Toy Tonics groove this promise “perfect bite” for the ones that know how to please themselves.
Alongside Klabika Collective introduction set, 2 main characters of the night are Kapote and Davide Dev.
Kapote, the Toy Tonics label boss has a long history of producing dance music, being a DJ and one of the leading figures in the Berlin dance scene. Before starting Toy Tonics he produced singles and albums for people like Peaches, James Murphy & Nancy Whang (of LCD Soundsystem), Bobby Conn, Graffiti legend The Rammellzee, WhoMadeWho and many others. To create a new form of label universe–for the upcoming forms of house and disco (not techno, trance or EDM that’s the opposite vibe)–he started Toy Tonics with 2 friends. With Toy Tonics Kapote created a label family with all kind of musicians, keyboarders and drummers who also are DJs and record collectors, that stand fora very strong own funky musical vibe. As a DJ, he normally plays only at Toy Tonics Jams–but can be requested for special solo gigs too. Kapote aka Mathias Modica, who some might also know from his former label Gommarecords, where he produced under the name of Munk, plays a wild mix of funkorientated music. From rare disco edits and Italian disco to modern quality house and futuristic broken beat and funky new wave. And of course, he plays alot of Toy Tonics records. It’s always euphoria.
Cornerstone of Milan’s club scene, Davide Dev has been strongly influenced by late 90’s french touch. Thanks to his extensive musical knowledge, he’s bridging the gap between mainstream and underground music, blending a diverse range of genres including Filter House, R&B, Disco, Funky House, Global Sounds. This feature has led him to collect top radio stations such as RinseFm , high profile brands such as Bvlgari , Saint Laurent , Giorgio Armani , GQ and iconic venues all over Europe. Beyond his solo endeavors, Dev’s impressive resume includes co-directing two certified platinum albums by Italian pop superstar Ghali , but also has been featured alongside major artists including Breakbot, Jayda G, Kilimanjaro, Heron Preston , Diplo, Peggy Gou , Benji B,Jackmaster, Sango, Sam Gellaitry etc.
Dev has recently signed with the Berlin based label Toytonics, Europe’s top creative powerhouses, recognized for funky house, disco, and broken beats.
